DUGS v Oxford & Cambridge Golfing Society

4 September 2015
Portmarnock Golf Club

Manager: Jerome Counihan

Format: 12 man team, 36 holes scratch foursomes

Result: DUGS 6 - The Society 6

Match Report:

The Oxford & Cambridge Golfing Society (The Society) came to Ireland for their Captain's (Peter Pentecost) Tour in September.

DUGS had their nose in front after the morning matches, but The Society rallied in the afternoon after a well presented Bacon and Cabbage lunch, to level the match.

This was followed by an excellent black-tie dinner in the clubhouse where were joined by the Portmarnock team whom they would be playing the following day.

The younger team members were later seen in the locker room changing into civvies and heading towards the bright lights....

Surprisingly, The Society beat Portmarnock the next day.
