Report: A fantastic day, sunshine, hot no wind just perfect. The course was as usual, in great condition and the greens took their toll among the visitors. A comprehensive trouncing again by the home club but played in the jovial spirit we have come to expect at Carrickmines. Soup and sandwiches before we went out was followed by a lovely dinner which was hastily eaten, speeches rushed and the evening brought rapidly to a close in time to watch the opening match of the Rugby World Cup, France v New Zealand and a good win for France. Our thanks to the club and staff for a great day. We will be back….
