Weather: Beautiful sunshine and a gentle NW breeze
General comments, points of interest: Soup and sandwiches provided for lunch and battle commenced at 14.00. It did not go our way in any of the matches resulting in an embarrassing 5:0 result. However, the company was excellent, the course was in great condition with the greens posing a lot of problems for the visitors and excellent meal followed the match. The banter was excellent with some staying at the Captain’s table well into the evening where most aspects of rugby were discussed accompanied by anecdotes and jokes. A stronger team will be required if we are the wrestle the Pringle Cup back in this our oldest continuous fixture with very close connections between DUGS and CGC right through the history of the society. Roll on 2025.
