Match Report
Weather: Beautiful day for golf with the fairways getting some green back after the long dry spell.
Another great day at Carrickmines where the course and greens were in magnificent condition despite the severe conditions that have existed over the past few months. The match was halved which was a huge improvement on the past 5 years, so we are a team in transition. As usual the hospitality at Carrickmines was exceptional with a lovely toastie and soup prior to play followed by a marvellous supper after the match. A few historical words by the CGC Captain Igor Fleming were responded to by Huntly Lauder representing the DUGS Captain John Flavin and President John Conway. A marvellous day’s camaraderie which has been fostered by both since 1946. Roll on 2027.
